Your territory

As part of our Backend team, you will:

  • Manage the backbone of the Tractive ecosystem
  • Shape our product that supports hundreds of thousands of pet lovers around the world
  • Take the lead by growing and developing one of our two Backend teams. Depending on your strengths and expertise, you will have the opportunity to lead either our APIs & services team or our team focussing on big data, data processing services and infrastructure.
  • Work in close collaboration with software architects in terms of technical responsibilities
  • Coordinate and execute a variety of projects, including developing innovative features for our Backend systems, growth of our Infrastructure and tackling numerous other exciting initiatives
  • Report directly to the CTO
  • Bring in your fresh ideas to make Tractive better - you’ll never hear the phrase “...because that’s how we’ve always done things”
  • Continuously grow personally and professionally, take ownership of areas that show your potential, and attend workshops which help you get to the next level

Your profile

Key requirements:

  • Experience in leading a development team, ideally backend
  • Great communication and organizational skills
  • Experience with agile methodologies and software development lifecycle
  • Experience with software development (ideally in one of our core languages Ruby/Kotlin/Java)
  • Very good English skills both written and verbal
  • Valid Austrian work permit
